Patty Ward

Patty Ward is the co-owner of Sow Right Seeds, a family-owned and operated garden seed company based in Greenwood, Missouri. Raised in a family where gardening was a way of life, Patty continues that legacy alongside her husband, Daryl, by helping others grow food sustainably and successfully from seed.

As a former teacher, Patty brings a natural love of education to her work. She enjoys helping gardeners at every stage learn how to start seeds successfully and overcome common gardening challenges. Through videos, newsletters, and blog content, she shares practical gardening knowledge designed to build confidence and long-term success.

Together, Patty and Daryl operate their business with sustainability at the core — from a solar-powered seed shop and compost systems to natural gardening practices and a Giving Garden that donates food and seed to communities in need. Patty is passionate about empowering others to grow their own food and experience the joy and resilience that comes from gardening.
