Malerie Knop

I’m Malerie, a wife, homeschooling momma, homesteader, and a Microgreens farmer from Southern IL.

In 2016, my family and I decided to start a homestead to live a simpler life, grow our own food, and get closer to nature. We raise meat birds, egg layers, and sheep on our farm and do our best in the garden. I have always been interested in a more holistic, healthy way of living, and I do believe that good health starts at home with real food. I have a passion for growing Microgreens. Im on a mission to lead a more healthy and intentional life with Microgreens, and I want to empower and teach others to do the same. Two years ago, I started a Microgreens farm called Barefoot Microgreens, which has allowed me to grow Microgreens for my local community, restaurants, and farmer markets. This business has also allowed me to reach more people and teach them how to grow Micros on their own from anywhere. I want to continue to reach more people and share my love of Microgreens.
